Well before CNN's John King and his touch-screen election board came along, L.A. Times editorial writer Bob Hartman gave his own spin on the election results to KTTV in the Times' city room on November 7, 1950; an election which resulted in California Gov. Earl Warren being elected to a third term, Richard Nixon winning the race for the U.S. Senate, and Edmund (Pat) Brown capturing the California attorney general race.
A very special thanks to the L.A. Times Photography Blog, Framework, for sending this photo along.
